The course consists of nine modules and runs from October to June. It covers the main European jurisdictions (besides Germany, primarily France and the UK) that play a role in patent litigation, as well as the Unitary Patent and the UPC. The focus includes European law, private international law and patent law, followed by competition law, taking of evidence, injunctions and damages. The course also includes a mock trial, which simulates proceedings before the Unified Patent Court and offers the opportunity to apply what has been learned in practice. In addition, both a written and an oral examination must be passed.
We congratulate Dr. Tannig on this next step in his career!
